Bridging the Gap Book Club
Thank you for your interest in the Bridging the Gap Book Club!
The goal of this book club is to bring together a diverse and representative group to discuss the biggest and most controversial political issues that are dividing our country today. The goal of these discussions will NOT be to change anyone’s mind, but to have a greater understanding of those who hold beliefs different than ours and, hopefully, find that we share more common ground than we realize.
In an effort to assemble as representative a group as possible, we will be hand picking participants to be a part of these discussions. If you are interested, we encourage you to take our survey by clicking the button on the right of this page.
We hope to continue this book club long into the future, but because this is the pilot group, the structure of the book club is subject to change. Right now, here are some key details:
The pilot group will meet every other month over 9 months, for a total of 5 book discussions.
Picks will alternate between liberal and conservative leaning titles.
Meetings will be professionally moderated.
We hope to have our first meeting in the first half of September.
Our first book will be “Think Again: How to Reason and Argue,” by Walter Sinnott-Armstrong.
